How to grow Gladiolus palnts

Gladius is a very popular plant because its cut flowers remain fresh for 7 to 10 days. Due to its sword-like leaves, it is also given the name of Sword Lily. Apart from this, it is also known as Carnflag and Waterfall Gladiolus. Gladioles is a plant of the total of Irridaceae.

                       Climate

Gladioculations can be applied in different types of climates. For successful production of gladioles, temperatures of 16 ° C and 23- 40 ° C are required. It should not show rainfall in the flowering period. It should be transplanted at such times for its successful production. It should be adapted (favourable) during its growing, flowering, dense and shortage production. Gladiolus should be in open sun condition. Long-term conditions increase the quality of its spike. For those who choose, fast winds should be used to protect the flood or air purifier.

                           Soil

Gladiolus can be grown in all kinds of soils. But fertilizer and proper drainage land is good in heavy soils. By improving organic compounds (Oraganic manures) into smooth soil, its organization (Taxture) can be improved. The area where there is sufficient sunlight, the best drainage of water Gleadiolus is suitable for cultivation. Its hilly areas are regarded as best cultivated in the southern shielded place.

                     Propagation

Gladiolus is amplified by seeds, corms, cormels and tissue culture.

                   Preparation of Land

30-40 days before planting solid shoulders, plowing should be plowed with soil reversal solution. After that 2-3 tillage should be done by cultivator or solution. Pata should also be applied after each plowing. The Kiero Width should be about 1.5 meters. More nutrients are needed in sandy soils. About 0.12 cu m. Of compost or dung compost, 200 gm per square meter should be irrigated by mixing the single super phosphate and mutant of potash with soil in 15 days before planting corms. But nitrogen should be given at the rate of 100 grams per square meter after 45 days of planting of dough, after the top dressing method.
To grow gladioles in the pot, mix the compost and the compost with the compost in the ratio 3: 1: 1 and use it to fill the pot. For flowering and corm production, 15 gm of single super phosphate and 15 grams of mutant of potash should be given at the rate of per bag 15 days before the conversion of cough.

                    Classification

Its different species are divided into four classes.
(1) .Purifoliance - >> 22 castes in this class are included. Of which 5-8 are fully developed, fan-made leaves.
(2) .Exfolyasi - >> This class consists of 24 castes. When flowering is the size of the full blown leaves.
(3). Posefolyasi - >> 34 castes in this class. Of which 2-5 layered leaves are found in a fully developed, bi-directional or cyclic order.
(4). UNIFOLISE - >> This class comprises 21 castes. There is a fully developed basal leaf. And the length of the head is lower.

                  Improved Varieties

       Red Flowered Varieties

• Mascagni - >> There are floral bright red colors. Whose diameter is 1-4 centimeters. Spike is 80-90 centimeters long. By which 15-17 flutes are produced.
• Oscar - >> Pushpak is of maroon color, the spike is 90-100 centimeters long, in which there are 15-18 flutes.
• Peter Pears - >> The floral orange is of red color. Puspump consists of 10-5 centimeters in diameter. Grips produce approximately 25-30 cormels.

                  Yellow Flowered Varieties

• Anglia - >> There are floral yellow colors. Spike is 70-75 centimeters long. And each has 13-14 pusphers with 9.5-10.0 centimeters in diameter. The cube produces approximately 10-15 cormels.
• True Yellow - >> Pulp sulfur are yellow in color. Spikes are 70-75 centimeters long. Each spike contains 13-15 flowers. Each cube produces 8-10 cormels.
Purple Coloured Florets Varieties - >>
• Her majesty - >> The floral debris are of colored bags. Spike is 65-70 centimeters long and each has 13-14 flutes. Pushpak is 8.0-8.5 cm in size. Each corm generates 20 cormels.

       White Colored Flowers Varieties

• Sancerre - >> Pushpak is similar to white. Spike is 85-90 centimeters long. Each spike has a 10-11 centimeter-sized floral. Each gram generates approximately 50 cormels.

                     Weed Control

Many weeds grow with the crop of gladioles. Those plants compete for moisture, nutrients, sunlight, places, etc. along with them. Due to which there is adverse effects on the growth of plant growth and flower production. Weeding should be done as per requirement. Doing the work on the plants at the time is done. The length of the bio is 20-30 centimeters. Under any circumstances, it is necessary to keep the plants straight from the woods before flowering.
Keeping the weeds from the gumles So that their elderly and development would continue to be well-established. Also get high quality flowers.

                    Insect Control

• (1) Termite
• Control - >> Spray 0.2% Klethane for its protection.
• (2) Aphid
• Control - >> 0.1% Malathion should be sprayed for its protection.
• (3) White caterpillar
• Control - >> Use thiamat 10g in the field before planting the grain.

                       Disease Control

Tip Burn - >> The ends of leaves will be reddish. The reason is that the amount of chloride or fluoride in irrigation water is high.
Irrigation should be done by checking the water for its prevention.
